What I’m Loving: Quarantine Skincare Secrets

Now that I am working from home, I rarely wear make up and have had a lot of time to focus on better skin care. I’ve shared some of my favorite products before, but I have a few new finds to add to the list! I’m not paid for these posts, so what I’m sharing is the honest truth from what I’ve tried (and I confess, I try a lot of products!). Of course everyone’s skin is different and some times you do have to experiment for what works for you.

Break Up with Break Outs:

I have been loving this Sulfur Spot Treatment Mask from Sunday Riley. I have been prescribed a sulfur wash before from the dermatologist, and this is really similar. You use it as a spot treatment (not an overall mask) and it really seems to take down the severity of breakouts by the next day. It does smell like sulfur which is gross, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! I also like that it hasn’t been super drying on my skin.

Fix the Winter Dryness:

The winter takes a toll on my skin– between running outside in the cold and wind, and how dry my house gets from the heat constantly running, dryness is a huge problem! It got so bad this winter that the skin around my eyes was flakey and itchy! I got a sample of this Ren Overnight Recovery Balm and its amazing. I’ve been using it twice a day around my eyes and it has fixed my skin! It also didn’t further irritate the skin, like my other moisturizers were doing. I will be buying more of it once my sample runs out. I have never used this brand before, but now I am really curious about their products.

Getting that Glow:

To get glowy, dewy skin during the day without wearing makeup, I’ve been using this Vitamin C Serum from Olehenriksen. I love the texture and smell of the serum, and it dries nicely on my skin. The ingredients brighten your skin while also leaving it look moisturized and feel soft. I am sensitive to breakouts, but this hasn’t seemed to cause any issues. I also like a product that actually improves my skin, not just covering it up!

That is all I have for now, but you can trust that I will keep trying and sharing my favorites!
