What I’m Loving: Pretty in Pink

I hope this post finds you well and that you are surviving the winter freeze. It has been below 0 almost every day for the last week in Minnesota, and I’m going a little stir crazy. During times like this, I just try to stay inspired and think of things to look forward to.

Some of those things include all of the fun things we will get to go back to doing once we are vaccinated! I’m looking forward to having a reason to dress up, attending events like concerts and football games, seeing friends again, and being able to run an in person marathon. Until then, I will continue to dream.

In this month’s what I’m loving, I pulled some inspiration of my favorite things, that all happen to be pretty in pink. I hope it brightens your day just a little!

Positive Quote Printables

Its been a long couple of months for all of us. I hope you are taking care of yourself and your family. Its hard not to be overwhelmed with fear and worry right now. I’ve been trying to spend my time keeping busy with house projects, exercising, and binge watching some of my favorite shows.

I’ve found that turning off the news for most of the day has helped with not feeling so overwhelmed. I’ve also been trying to stay uplifted by motivating myself and others with positive vibes. On my run this weekend, a woman gave me a simple thumbs up, and it meant a lot to have that little bit of positive connection.

In the spirit of positive mindset, I’ve created some uplifting printables that are all free for you to download, print, and use how you would like!

Don’t forget to click the download link for the high res image!

I have struggled a lot with my blog lately due to the corona virus pandemic. I want to be sure my posts are still useful and relevant to people who are facing all sorts of new challenges in life. I almost stopped blogging completely in the last month, because I just didn’t know what to write.

How to Get Over a Setback

I recently shared that it was the 5 year anniversary of when I got laid off from my dream job as a product designer at Target. For me, my job wasn’t just a job. It was something that me and the people around me had worked so hard for. I was a straight A, all of the honor clubs and sports, deans list while juggling jobs and internships type of person. I had done everything to earn my job, and did everything right while there, but still was one of the unlucky people who got let go that day.

It shattered me.

Dreamy White Interiors

One of the easiest ways to decorate a room is to base it all in white. It’s the simplest color choice you will ever make! White is timeless and really easy to style with other neutrals or pops of color. The color also looks beautiful with natural wood tones, especially wood flooring. I don’t have any all white rooms in my house, but some of these inspiration images have me rethinking my color palette!
