Is the Peloton Treadmill Worth it?

I wanted to start this post by sharing that this is in no way sponsored by Peloton and is my honest review of the product! I am someone who trains for marathons and runs 25-40 miles a week on average, mostly outdoors.

When I started running, I got a free treadmill from the side of the road and it was pretty rough, but it got me through the winter months. I really despised treadmill running, but sometimes it is just a necessity! Last year, I ended up with a stress fracture and was unable to run for a few months, so I downloaded the Peloton app to do biking workouts and strength training. I just got a cheap exercise bike off Amazon, and did the Peloton classes on my ipad screen.

How to Style a Console Table

I’ve been planning to upgrade and restyle part of my bedroom for a while now, but other projects have kept getting in the way. The wall across from my bed is sort of a dead space, where I currently have a little end table and a vintage mirror. Its sort of become a catchall space, and was never really something that I planned or thought out.

I finally decided to upgrade and make it a more usable space for myself. I mostly wanted it to look nicer, more intentional, and have a little bit of storage. Like any project, I spent a month or two looking and planning. At first I just wanted to update the mirror, but realized it would be better to get a better furniture piece like a console table to fit my needs.

8 Mistakes Keeping You From Your Fitness Goals

The warmer weather is the perfect time to start new fitness routines– from running, to biking, or even just going for walks. What I’m Loving: Spring Fever

It finally hit 70 degrees in Minnesota (which is a big deal for April!). My daffodils are ready to bloom and the tulips aren’t far behind. Although we are always waiting for one last hit of winter cold around here, I hope we are past it! This year, spring feels extra hopeful with vaccinations on the horizon (I got my first shot this weekend!) and more outdoor activities to do.

As I dream of spring, I pulled together some of my favorite things to get you inspired too!

My Dining Chair Upgrade

I’ve been on the hunt for new dining chairs for a while now. I purchased my current chairs when I first bought my house over 7 years ago, and they were just cheap stacking chairs. I liked the modern form and they were within my budget at the time. But, it was time for an upgrade to something a little nicer!

I had a few constraints when looking for a new chair– I really wanted the new chairs to fit my space aesthetically. A lot of dining chairs either felt TOO modern or way TOO traditional for my style. My dining table area is also pretty small, so I needed chairs that would physically fit within the space. My current dining table is also a dark wood, so I wanted any wood accents to coordinate with the wood tone. I also didn’t want to spend more than around $100 a chair.

I was also specifically hoping to find white chairs. I like keeping the space feeling bright and airy, and white would work with any types of table linens across the seasons.

This seems like not that hard of a list of constraints, but it took a lot of hunting to find the right chairs!

Easy Denim Looks for Spring

There has been a lot of ~skinny jean controversy~ floating around the internet right now. Instead of being offended the kids are saying what isn’t cool anymore, its important to remember that dressing for your body and what makes you feel good is the most important.

The right pair of jeans can turn a simple outfit from plain to chic. Some of my personal favorite jeans are distressed boyfriend cut jeans from J Crew. I usually size down a size with these cuts, so they’re not quite so baggy. These cuts look super cute with a variety of simple tops. Keep reading for some of my favorite inspo!
